An image of the now abandoned Down Street station, located in the heart of Mayfair. It may have had a short life as a working public station (1907 to 1932) , but it certainly made an impact in aiding the war effort in the 1940's.
The entrance to the temporary 'Hidden London' exhibition at the London Transport Museum.
This exhibition will take you through an underground network of rooms, displaying the stories behind London's abandoned stations.
We were blessed this week to have the superb insight of underground historian and presenter of 'Secrets of the London Underground' : Siddy Holloway.
